How to Check Your Maryland EBT Balance
There are four free ways to check your Maryland EBT (SNAP) card balance. Pick whichever is easiest for you — they all show the same up-to-date amount.
1. Call Customer Service (Fastest)
Dial 1-800-997-2222 — the toll-free number printed on the back of every Maryland EBT card. The automated system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will speak your current SNAP balance after you enter your 16-digit card number.
2. Check Online at ebtEdge
Visit ebtEdge.com and log in with your card number and PIN. You'll see your current balance, recent transactions, and your deposit history. If it's your first visit, you'll be asked to register your card.
3. Look at Your Last Receipt
Every time you use your EBT card at a store, the receipt prints your remaining balance at the bottom. Save your receipts and you'll always know roughly where you stand.
4. Use the ebtEdge Mobile App
Download the free ebtEdge app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). It shows your balance, transaction history, and lets you freeze your card instantly if it's lost or stolen.
When Do Maryland EBT Benefits Reload?
SNAP benefits are deposited monthly between the 4th and the 23rd, based on the last digit of your case number. Once benefits are loaded, they stay on the card until you spend them — they don't expire month to month.
Lost or Stolen Card?
